I paint contemporary, plein air, acrylic and oil landscapes evoking the atmospheric light and hues of Santa Barbara County’s beautiful shorelines and countryside. My studio is near the beachside bluffs of Santa Barbara’s Mesa where I have resided since graduating from UCSB with a degree in Art. With friends, I helped found Southern California Artists Painting for the Environment to help raise funds for conservation. My fervent wish is that we treat our land, as Aldo Leopold once said, ‘not as a commodity that belongs to us but as a community to which we belong.’ |
